In Jenni's words:
I am 31 years old. I've had a passion for horses since the day I was born, but no one knows why as I'm the only remotely horsey person in my family. My family finally gave in to my nagging at age 7 and bought me a lesson at a local riding school thinking it was a phase. I guess the phase just never ended! I now know why I was born with this passion for horses - because I was just meant to be around them and work with both horses and their owners (I run my own Confidence and Performance coaching business - Flying Changes Coaching). You could say its my calling! My mare Della is a bit of a golden oldie at 17 years old and I've had her for just over 3 years. She used to SJ and Eventing and then I got her, as my second horse, as a school mistress all rounder. I quickly discovered that we both loved dressage and so decided to concentrate on that (with a bit of showing thrown in too for variety) and start working towards competing British Dressage (BD). When I saw the Outside the Box Training sponsorship opportunity I jumped at it! It was perfect timing. I had just registered with BD thinking I would enter some affiliated competitions but I wanted some support to help us get there with our training and also to give us the confidence that we were good enough to give it a go. Possibly a strange thing to think as my profession is as a Confidence and Performance Coach for horse riders, although we all need support and great coaching around us no matter what level we are at and half the time identifying that need is a step in itself! Chelsea and I share many views on horses and how to keep them and we seem to have the same sense of humour, so I'm sure this is a match that will be fun and rewarding for us all!! So now we have it. A fabulous coach in Chelsea, a truly exciting few months ahead and the kick start I'm just so thrilled to get, so we can move into the world of BD.
